Festival Trayectos, Festival Asalto, A_Zofra, el Centro de Arte y Tecnología Etopia y Estonoesunsolar participan en el Festival de Arte internacional “Das DetroitProjekt“. Entre mayo y junio podrán verse sus intervenciones artísticas de transformación urbana y social en la ciudad alemana de Bochum, en la Cuenca del Ruhr. Los grupos zaragozanos, comisariados por el madrileño colectivo Basurama, han desarrollado sus propuestas trabajado en red desde marzo 2013.

Nuestra participación al festival thisisnotdetroit.de/ será desde el 21 al 29 de junio, desplazandonos por distintos espacios públicos abandonados de la ciudad:

-De qué manera una actividad cultural puede tener una repercusión social?

A partir de una roulotte de segunda mano, se van a introducir las modificaciones necesarias para convertirla (reciclarla) en una cocina móvil, entendida como un dispositivo móvil capaz de introducir alteraciones en el espacio público. Se va a provocar la re-activación de varios emplazamientos en los que se puedan hilvanar nuevas relaciones sociales, poniendo en contacto a diferentes sectores de la sociedad y trazando nuevos hilos de convivencia entre los diferentes barrios. Los tránsitos del dispositivo móvil (urban kitchen) a través de los espacios públicos existentes crearán una situación imprevista y efímera, proponiendo una segunda ciudad, incierta, transitoria, que se “enciende y se apaga” temporalmente. El dispositivo móvil contendrá todos aquellos elementos necesarios e imprescindibles para establecer un lugar en torno al hecho de cocinar (roulotte-cocina + elementos plegables o desmontables), y dispondrá de un huerto en el techo, conformando un pack Ikea para la autosuficiencia urbana. Se pondrá a disposición de los vecinos, permitiendo alternar el hecho íntimo con la realidad pública. En esta ocasión, se ha pedido a un grupo de niños de Hustadt documentar el proceso de transformación, de modo, que a través de su mirada, se registre una acción que pretende ser un despertar, un inicio de un camino.

Con el caso de la ciudad estadounidense de Detroit como telón de fondo y ejemplo a prevenir, donde el desmantelamiento de la industria automovilística llegó de la mano de la bancarrota municipal y el consecuente deterioro de su vida urbana, el festival ha movilizado a artistas, arquitectos, gestores culturales, investigadores, planificadores urbanos, científicos y ciudadanos de las 4 “ciudades Opel” europeas, Bochum, Zaragoza, Liverpool y Gliwice,  para pensar juntos la reorganización de su tejido económico y social.

On June 14th and 15th we’ ll take part in “Our Public Space: Who Owns It, Who Shapes It, and Who Benefits From It“, a two days program of lectures and workshops held at Hide Park Art Center, Chicago, presented by a concise list of national and international architects, designers, and artists addressing the current state of public space and the built environment.  The program is organized by Dilettante Studios, MAS Context, and the Hyde Park Art Center and supported by Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, The Illinois Humanities Council, National Endowment for the Humanities, Illinois General Assembly.

estonoesunsolar proposal “Plug & Play” has been selected as winner of the international competition #BellaFuori3 held by Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna. During the winning cerimony at Urban Center Bologna the Bologna major Virginio Merola, the Foundation president Marco Cammelli, the San Vitale  district president Milena Naldi, the Jury  president Mario Cucinella have enhalced the project’ spatial and social high qaulity and innovation. Patrizia Di Monte in representation of the winning group composed by Ignacio Grávalos, Elena Vincenzi and Giorgio Volpe architects, will take part to the presentation on the project final phase. A new round of neighbor’ s participation is going to start to define the the new common space through Croce del Biacco Community Center in San Vitale.

4 new temporary public spaces in 3 districts of Zaragoza

Due to the crisis many  vacant lands are waiting to be developped up to the master plan. In this meanwhile, 4  new temporary interventions of public space have been built during 2013 in 3 districts of Zaragoza:

1- Almozara, Etopia – Ciem buildings;

2- Rabal, Zaragoza Activa – Azucarera buildings;

3- Santa Isabel, beside an existing empty silo wich could be the new center of this ditrict;

4-Delicias intervention began in 2010 have been completed.

Luoghi prossimi e pratiche di resistenza estetica” The book proposes a journey through Europe, to tell stories of change – of cityscapes,  ideas and forms of contemporary garden, clichés – conducted by different actors and in different ways , but all share the same desire to build habitat newspapers more beautiful.  From the creative reuse of surface parking in the re-reading of squares and streets like unexpected play areas , owned by the reconfiguration of empty green areas aseptic forgotten and the affirmation of a poetic art of the garden resistant: to compose a landscape is diverse and vibrant landscapes of the everyday life, the fact of critical actions , practices and imaginative interpretations of the usual models of public space. From the role of Giacomo Quarenghi in St Petersburg to the work of Lina Bo Bardi in Brazil and through to Pietro Belluschi in the United States and Romaldo Giugola – still active in Australia – or even Renzo Piano, the migratroy paths followed by some of our leading talents are well known and well established within the international historiography of architecture. estonoesunsolar en las jornadas DESTRUCCIÓN CREATIVA @etopia_

estonoesunsolar destruccion creativa etopia gravalosdimonteestonoesunsolar ha sido invitado a participar en las jornadas de Destrucción Creativa 2013, encuentro de iniciativas de  innovación ciudadana,  organizadas por la Fundación Zaragoza Conocimiento + Etopia y dirigidas por ZZZINC.  En la primera edición de Destrucción Creativa (2012) se diseñaron una serie de líneas de trabajo centradas en procesos de innovación en el entorno urbano y prácticas de empoderamiento social. Este año, se vuelve a incidir sobre esas mismas líneas pero con un enfoque diferente. Si bien en esa primera fase la intención estaba más dirigida a sondear y mostrar un panorama amplio de proyectos de innovación social, esta segunda edición busca tener mayor capacidad de diagnóstico. Retomando preguntas que aparecieron en la primera edición, Destrucción Creativa 2013 partirá de algunas hipótesis elaboradas por el conjunto de invitados e invitadas expertas en este ámbito. El objetivo no es tanto hilar consensos, sino poder situar y debatir bajo diferentes visiones sobre cuestiones clave como prácticas de urbanismo ciudadano, procesos de transformación del sistema democrático o economías de base comunitaria. Las cuatro sesiones diseñadas responden a ese fin: no tanto saber quienes somos, sino debatir sobre dónde estamos y hacia dónde apuntan las prácticas que desarrollamos. Actualmente, toda una serie de iniciativas, desde el activismo ciudadano a las nuevas políticas institucionales, están explorando la idea de que los ciudadanos pueden organizarse para diseñar ciudad: tomando el control de espacios públicos y decidiendo sobre su uso, su función, y haciéndose cargo de su gestión. Como contrarelato a la idea vertical y corporativa de la “Smart City”, surgen distintos tipos de prácticas que exploran la noción de “smart citizens”, en el que el uso de tecnologías móviles y online sirven para crear un modelo híbrido de organización de la ciudad y reconfigurar los espacios urbanos.
